Are we in one now?
Imagine one day you are woken up by your emergency alert on your cell phone. As it bellows in the house from the multiple devices, you grab it and look to see what’s going on. An emergency Alert flashes in red; there have been nuclear bombs set off all over the world. The message urges people to stay in their homes until the government can properly access the situation. You flip on the news and you see the footage, there is mass destruction all over. A state of panic has set in and people are out looting everything, getting whatever supplies they can. The news shows what seem to be people turning into zombies from the radiation and other chemicals that were attached to the bombs. The news channel you’re watching has a video interview from the terrorist that have done this and they go on to play it for the people of the world.
The terrorist states these weapons were caring a poison that awakened the demons in people, turning them into zombies and they are to seek out all the people of the world to destroy them. Then play another video that just came in, it is by a well-known pastor and he tells everyone all you need to do is accept the teachings of Jesus and be obedient to them, to become a born again believer, and follow after Christ. This alone will allow you to cast these demon zombies away whenever they are near. This pastor urges you to go out and tell as many people as you can, that will listen of course, but tell as many people about this saving power that’s available.
You decide to go look out front and you see your neighbors, a couple in their 70’s and they are walking outside to see what’s happening. You remember they don’t have a TV or cell phones so they would be clueless as to what’s happening around them. You see down the road a few people staggering, dragging their one leg; they seem to maybe be infected. You remember what the pastor just said, and you have plenty of time to run over to your neighbors. You have to tell them the Good News, so they don’t get infected and can be protected. So you run over to them and explain this good news. It takes a few minutes and they do decide to accept it as the truth.
They all look to the road and the zombies act as if they were invisible and pay no mind to them. “Thank you, thank you so much!” the elderly couple exclaim, “I can’t believe this has happened. We must go around and spread this Good News to as many as we can because the lives of all these people are in jeopardy.” They all go into the house to come up with a game plan to go out and save as many people from the destruction these demons are out seeking to do.
Let me ask you if this were you, what would your plan be? Would you be willing to go around and help those in need? Or would you seek shelter in your home and lock the doors. Let’s dive deep into the word of God and see just what we should do for our brothers and sisters in need.
From reading the Word of God we see in 1 Peter 5:8-9
“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.”
The devil, he is a liar. We read in John 10:10 “the thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.
The devil is here to destroy us, he wants to keep us from our Savior. Now is the time to realize that there are far too many people blindly following him. There are far too many people going down the broad path and we know from reading Matthew 7:13-14:
“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many that choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.”
We must wake up to this reality that we are NOT to, as it is stated in 1 John 2:15-17:
“15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passes away, and the lust along with it: but he that doeth the will of God abides forever.”
We clearly are in a war, just read Ephesians 6:12:
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Based on these scriptures alone, the devil wants to trick us and get us to not seek God. He wants us to follow after the world that he has created and there are many that will go down the broad and wide path. This path clearly leads to destruction, so as Christians here on this planet is it not our obligation to try and lead as many people to the path of Salvation as possible?
Let me ask you this, do you love yourself? Do you make sure you are fed and clothed? Don’t you make sure your needs are taken care of? Don’t you take care of yourself and spiritually feed yourself? If you have answered yes to any of these then let’s read the greatest commandments spoken in Matthew 26:33-40:
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 this is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.
If we are to love God with all that we have then obedience should be the top priority of our faith. If the second greatest command is to love our neighbor as ourselves then shouldn’t we be concerned for the people on the earth in the same manner as we would in the story about the zombie apocalypse? Hell was imminent if we didn’t get the message of Christ out before the infected zombies reached them. So in today’s world, it is the same, if we don’t get the message of Christ out, souls will meet the same demise and that is an eternity in torment in the bottomless pit called the abyss. So make that critical decision to serve Christ and make your passion to save souls a priority over all else. In today’s society we have too many closet Christians, make the choice and be a soul winner for Christ.
