The one you do not want to forget about

Can you recall all the gifts you’ve received over the past few years? As we approach this Christmas holiday, take a moment to reflect on the gifts you’ve received over the past decade. What were the best ones? Do you still use them, or have they faded into the background and been forgotten?
Let’s talk about your favorite gifts. When you use or see them, do they bring back memories of who gave them to you? Do you feel the love or appreciation you experienced when you first received them? Often, we receive gifts that end up forgotten, but isn’t it nice when there’s true thoughtfulness behind them?
I’d like to discuss the ultimate gift—one that often gets overlooked. Imagine someone said, “Here’s a gift for you. If you accept it, you’ll receive an account with $1 billion, allowing you to live off its interest for the rest of your life. All future generations will have the same privileges, and all you have to do is choose your favorite activity and do that every day.” Would you accept this gift? I believe most of us would.
Well, I know of an even greater gift—an ultimate gift that surpasses all others. Let me share it with you.
In the Word of God, we read in John 3:16:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
The ultimate gift I’m talking about is eternal life. We have the chance to live forever in heaven with God for eternity. That sounds like a remarkable offer, don’t you agree?
However, there are some expectations from God.
In Romans 10:9, it states,
“If we confess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in our hearts that God has raised Him from the dead, then we will be saved.” We need to confess and repent.
Additionally, in John 3:36, we read:
“Anyone who believes in the Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but will remain under God’s angry judgment.” We must also be obedient to His Word.
Finally, in John 3:3,
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless one is born again, you cannot see the kingdom of heaven.”
We must be born again and have our minds renewed, as stated in Romans 12:2:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing, and perfect will.”
This Christmas is the perfect time to share and or receive the ultimate gift from God, which is given freely. All we have to do is receive, believe, and obey, and in return, we will have eternal life. Now that’s a gift you definitely don’t want to forget! So, if you have received this gift, let us pay it forward by sharing this ultimate love gift with others.
Thank You for reading!
