The definition of refined is when impurities or unwanted elements having been removed by processing, purifying, or treatment.

We as Christians must go through a refining period.  A large portion of the Christian population, unfortunately, missed this part.  They get saved, attend some church services, read a few scriptures, and stop there.  You see there is so much more to having a relationship with our Savior.  It’s more than saying a few words and reading the Bible.  It’s so much more than going to church and singing some songs.  It is a refining process.

The Bible says in Malachi 3:3:

“He will sit like a refiner of silver, burning away the dross. He will purify the Levites, refining them like gold and silver, so that they may once again offer acceptable sacrifices to the Lord.”

God sits like a smelter, as a purifier of silver.  Just as gold is refined in a furnace in temperatures over 1000°C.  This is how to extract all impurities from gold, to get it to its highest quality of 24 karats.  It’s time to come to God seeking refinement.  It’s time to go to the 1000° fire and cleanse all those sinful impurities out of your life.

Today look deep into yourself.  Look at all the things that potentially he could separate you from.  The Lord looks for the hidden sin.  Look for those things that you know need to be burned out of your life.  Smoking, alcohol, drugs, sex outside of marriage, living with someone when you’re not married, watching movies with curse words, or that are filled with sin.  The list of sins and things that separate us from God is so vast, it’s similar to counting grains of sand on the beach.  You can no longer compromise your relationship with the Lord.  It is time to repent and ask God to come into your life and refine you.

Now is the time to clean yourself up, read the word of God, and more importantly, live the word of God.  Pray and make Jesus the most important, personal thing in your life.  He will purify you.  He will refine you and make you as pure as the whitest snow.  All you have to do is believe in His promises, have faith that you can move those mountains out of your way.  You’ll come out as that pure 24 karat gold, that white snow, cleansed and ready to walk with the Lord, closer than you ever did before.

So today make that promise to get refined.  Get those impurities removed for good.  Call on the name of Jesus.  Fall in love with your savior and repent of your sins.  Grab your Bible and get alone with God.  Read the words of Jesus in the new testament.  Learn His ways, understand His heart, and His love for us.  He loves us so much that He died so we can live.  Let me encourage you today, seek Him in prayer than study His word.  Listen for His voice and let Him refine you, so you can start to walk in victory.  You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength.  You’re an overcomer, a victor, let God be your Anchor.  Dig deep into the fertile soil and let His living water shower you with the blessings of unconditional love and peace, with complete contentment.  Live for your Savior and allow your Savior to live through you.
