The Devil and his Lies

Did you know there are literally millions of demons at Satan’s disposal to pull this off, for he is The Greatest Showman of all time?  His deception surpasses all of Hollywood’s best actors.  He is so cunning, he can actually be in plain sight showing himself to the world, exposing his evil, and the people of this earth still can’t see him.  How does he pull it off?  Well, let us go into the scripture and see.  Turn with me to 2 Corinthians 4:4 and it says:

⁴ Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

We also read in Ephesians 6:12-13:

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

And in 1 Peter 5:8-10:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.”

Just reading these 3 scriptures we learn that Satan is what?  The God of this world and blinds the minds of those who don’t believe and these individuals can’t see the glorious light that comes from the Word of God.  They are in complete darkness and they have a hate for the things of Christ and any mention of it.  You see, we’re in a spiritual battle as the scripture says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and power and against the rulers of darkness and spiritual hosts of darkness.  People, this is a legitimate war, a war for our souls and it’s real.  If we continue discussing these first 3 scriptures, what do we see?  That we must stay sober and vigilant.  And why?  Because the devil, our adversary, is walking around like a lion seeking whom he may destroy.  The devil is very smooth and cunning.  He is so subtle in his tactics.  He sits and plans and sits and plans.  His time is endless as he waits and seeks to destroy.  Let me go into another scripture that will shed a bit more light on his tactics.  1 John 2:15-17:

¹⁵ Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. ¹⁶ For the world offers only the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. ¹⁷ And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

And in Romans it read a bit different, Romans 12:2:

² Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

So, according to the Word of God, we are to NOT to be conformed to this world, its ways and/or its patterns.  You see, this right here has so many who call themselves Christians stumped and that is because they are struggling with the mere fact that God does not want us to do it, but Satan says it’s okay.  God says do not copy the ways and patterns of this world which are the lusts of the eyes, the lusts of the flesh, and the pride of life.  He also describes patterns as things that are done over and over and over, year after year by the masses of this world.  We are not supposed to be conformed to those ideals, but yet again, time after time, people will chose what they want to do and say it’s okay.  So let’s read a little further into the scripture above where it says that we are to have our minds transformed by the renewing of our minds.  It says “to let the minds that be in us to be that of Christ” and that’s in Philippians 2:5.

So let’s look this over, we are on this earth and here to do the will of God, serve Him, and spread His word, but while we are here we have to fight this flesh we live in that wants us to do the opposite of God’s will and it’s constantly trying to lead us away using lusts; the lust of the eyes, the lusts of the flesh, and the pride of life.  On top of that, we have an invisible demonic force that has millions of demons at its disposal fighting with our flesh to achieve this goal to give in to our fleshly appetite.  Let me keep going here because there is more.  We also have billions of humans walking and occupying this planet that only want to fulfill their fleshly appetites and we as Christians are supposed to walk in that, traveling and navigating through that sea of despair and spread a message that’s to the contrary.  Okay, well, all I’ll say is a big WOW that’s a task in and of itself, and no wonder there are only a few who find it.  It says in Matthew 7:13-14:

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.”

And in Matthew 22:14:

“For many are called, but few are chosen.”

You see one of the biggest lies by The Greatest Showman is this; that all you have to do is say a prayer and you’re saved, PERIOD.  Well, that’s so far from the truth, it is a shame that so many fall into that deep canyon of deception.  Let me explain.  It’s not the prayer that saves you or will give you eternal life, it’s your relationship with Christ.  It’s your obedience.  You see in John 3:16 it says:

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

It also says in Romans 10:9:

“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Now, I want you to go on a bit further in John to John 3:36 and it says:

“And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life.  Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life, but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

And it says in Matthew 7:21:

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.

So please understand this, in one scripture it says only those who OBEY, the other says only those who do THE WILL OF MY FATHER, the other says only a FEW will be chosen and only a FEW will find it

So you have to ask yourself are you obedient?  Are you doing the Will of God?  Are you the few? Because not everyone will be and that’s coming from scripture and that’s The Greatest Showman’s mirage to let us think we are, when we are not.  Let’s go back to John 3:36.

Did you just read what I read?  It says anyone who believes will be saved, but anyone who does not obey will never experience eternal life.  So you see the lie from The Greatest Showman?  All you need to do is say the prayer that so many churches ask you to pray and that’s it.  Just live your life and go to church.  That’s just not God’s will for His people.  His will is for His children to Obey His Son and live a righteous life.  Don’t fall into that lie, dive into the Word of God and start learning what it is He expects from us, then be obedient to His expectations and build your relationship with Christ, so you have a full understanding of who He is and figure out what it is you can do for Him.

Satan also works his lies through influence and indoctrination and there are many ways and many platforms he has to perch himself on.  Many will just accept whatever they hear, but I will tell you with certainty that through the internet, social media platforms, the news, Hollywood, our workplaces, our children’s schools and colleges, our teachers and professors, and even our churches.  Yes, all these places are platforms for The Greatest Showman to perform.  It’s acceptance, it’s changing with the times, it is for the betterment of our society, that is why our society is changing and yes these are all lies from The Greatest Showman.

The Bible says in 1 Timothy 3:1-5:

3 You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. ² For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. ³ They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. ⁴ They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. ⁵ They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

Everything we are seeing in today’s times is a mirage from The Greatest Showman.  He has made it so good is evil and evil is good.  It is even some of the Christians that are the haters because they want to accept the world and don’t call its sin wrong.  We want to stand on the Word of God, live in it, and do His will, whereas the children of the world, who are under The Greatest Showman’s trance, do not and that’s our battle; to go into the world, but do not be of the world.  We can look at a few more scriptures to back that statement up.  Don’t be fooled by the world because it is going away as it says in 1 John 2:17:

And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

John 15:19:

The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.

John 17:14-16:

 I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. ¹⁵ I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. ¹⁶ They do not belong to this world any more than I do.

Romans 12:2:

Ephesians 4:22–24:

²² throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. ²³ Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. ²⁴ Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

1 Thessalonians 4:1:

¹ Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you.  You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more.

The Greatest Showman has had a plan from the get go.  He has been working on our ancestors for decades, attacking them and setting in motion a pattern of sin that will carry into future generations in the way of a generational curse.  It’s all a multiplication factor that keeps growing and growing and now in our current time we are seeing sin and lawlessness and a distain for God, things are out of control.  He is patient and subtle, you know back in the 50’s there was no cursing on TV, you were not allowed to buy alcohol on Sundays, homosexuality was looked down on and was not out in the open, killing babies was wrong, Jesus was part of our culture, prayer was allowed in school, God’s name was not offensive, and families had values and lived by God’s morals.   Yet today, we are just about seeing porn on TV, every curse word in the book is permissible, society teaches our children that homosexuality is normal, and that girls can be boys and boys can be girls, that good is evil and evil is good, divorce is just a way of life, there are no morals, our social media sites are all about me, myself and I, fake news and lies are encouraged, people are just lovers of themselves, greed is running rampant, our government is Godless, Jesus is being removed from everything, churches don’t preach the truth, and our next generation of young adults are so brainwashed by the Godless ways of this world that the pollution of society has clouded who they are.  The Greatest Showman has this world loving themselves, their money, their thoughts and ways, their materials, their status and the thought of gain.  It’s literally spiraling down the toilet and the saddest thing is there are too many Christians swirling around right along with them.  The Greatest Showman is so good at what he does that Christians actually think they are good, they are doing the things of God and all along they are deceived.  In Matthew 7:22-23 it says:

22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’…

The Greatest Showman has the world fooled.  Don’t fall into that category and travel that broad destructive path as they do.  You have time to fall on your knees and repent, turn 180 degrees and walk with and towards God for He will make your path straight, give you a hope, and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11:

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
